This recipe is called Spinach-Leek French Quiche Recette. It is a time honored recipe and one which will delight everyone. It will require a muffin pan either made of ceramic or stainless steel. It is important to never use aluminum as studies have shown that aluminum leeches into food and can cause health problems. It also changes the taste of food and when baking something as delightful as a French Quiche Recette, no other tastes should deter the taste buds.
Start by setting the oven to 375 degrees F.
Ingredients:
- 1-2 pre-made pie crusts, rolled out to allow for best usage of the entire crust
- 3 eggs (preferably organic)
- Organic whipping cream (1 pint)
- 1 Organic Leek
- 2 cups of organic, washed spinach
- 1 lb. each of Swiss and Muenster Cheese (shredded)
- Tamari or Soy Sauce (3 dashes)
- Salt and pepper
Coat the individual muffin cups with a small amount of spray oil or butter and set aside. Use a small coffee cup as your cookie cutter and cut out each crust, placing them individually into the muffin pan. You can then press each one into place and push the crust up the sides as well.
In a mixing bowl, combine the whipping cream, eggs, dash of salt, pepper and the three dashes of tamari or soy sauce. Whip with a fork until bubbly and well blended.
Cut the leek into thin slices, about 1 ½” wide, using its entirety. Along with this, you will be using fresh, organic spinach. Tear the spinach into smaller pieces and add this to the leek, then divide them evenly between all the muffin cups, placing them on top of the crust bottom. Pour the egg mixture evenly over each one, but not all the way to the top, just about ¾ full.
Shred approximately 12-16 oz. each of Swiss and Muenster cheese together, then add this into each of the muffin cups, blending the cheese into the egg mixture gently so as not to tear the bottom crust.
Place your almost ready French Quiche Recette into the oven for about 25 minutes. They may take about 10 minutes longer than this, depending on the oven. Each French Quiche Recette should look evenly browned on top and be set when the pan is jiggled for firmness. Let them cool for about 5 minutes, and then permit each of your guests to help themselves. This recipe for Spinach-Leek French Quiche Recette can be wrapped in freezer paper and stored for later breakfasts or appetizing brunches.
